R1P4D25 – With a step to your left and a flick to the right…

Woah! Where did that come from? No clue why I was down another 1.2 today… But, it gives me a all new low-weight! Yay!!  Wouldn’t be at all surprised if I bounced back up a skootch tomorrow, but, maybe I won’t & I’ll get to log a new low on my weekly check-in over at SparkPeople. LOL

I attempted to start the next level of Slim in 6 today… notice I said “attempted”? 😀  I still have to be pretty careful with my back, or I suffer for it. So, I definitely was going at a mild rate – but I still wasn’t able to finish the video… I spent the last 10 minutes of it doing floor stretches.  But, it’s all about moving, right? And keeping at it.  I know it’ll get easier as I get more fit. And, I’m looking forward to seeing if the videos have made a difference in my inch losses this week. *fingers crossed*

Well, I’m tired and I have a long day tomorrow… I have to drive to our satellite office tomorrow for work – which is right around 40 minutes in the car (in good traffic) each way. Whee.  So, I’m going to keep this short & sweet and head off to bed early.

Breakfast was eggs, bacon, mozz stick, & 3 oz beef, with coffee/cream. Snack was some pepper beef jerky. Lunch was tuna salad over lettuce/spinach. Dinner was chicken, salad, & a baby brie wedge.

R1P4D24 – If, when, why, what, how much have you got…

Today: 234.8 / LDW: 239.6 / Net: -4.8

Wahoo! Exact same weight as Saturday morning! (And only 0.2 above my lowest weight!) Glad to know that the weekend away didn’t completely derail me…

Of course… that probably won’t be the case this coming weekend… VEGAS, BABY!!  It was supposed to be a trip with 6 of us girls going… but it’s down to two of us.  That’s okay, we’ll still have a blast.  I’ll be mindful of what I’ll be eating/drinking – but I’m also probably going to splurge a bit. I know we’re planning on trying to hit one “nice” restaurant – and eat chocolate while watching the Bellagio fountains. LOL  We’re staying at a hotel across the street from them, so hopefully we’ll have a nice view from our room (I paid extra for a “full view of the strip”).  I’m really looking forward to this weekend. YAY!

Oh! I did do my Slim in 6 video this morning – Go me!  I’ll be attempting to graduate to the next level tomorrow… we’ll see how it goes. :0

Breakfast was eggs, beef, onion, and coffee/cream. Snack was an Atkins coconut chocolate bar. Lunch was seared ahi, asian slaw, & a tomato/mozzerella salad (at BJ’s). Dinner was round steak & asparagus.

R1P4D23 – ONE HUNDRED POSTS!

Wow – I have never stuck with a blog anywhere near this long before! Guess I finally found what I can babble on about. 🙂

Spent the night at my friend’s house – so, while I stepped onto her scale, it probably isn’t “accurate” compared to mine. It said I was 233.0, which is 1.8 lower than my Saturday morning weight. So, like I said, probably not. 🙂

It was a fun visit, and I got three more pages done in a scrapbook that I’ve been slowly working on for several years. LOL

Yesterday, I ate:  Breakfast – 3 ribs, a cup of broccoli, and coffee/cream. Snack was an Atkins bar. Lunch was a beef/Ortega chili melt on gluten free bread with a small salad & blue cheese dressing. Dinner was a hunk of homemade meatloaf (made with oatmeal instead of breadcrumbs) and roasted radishes & tomatoes.

The roasted radishes were actually really good! I don’t like more than a small bite or two of radish raw… but I read somewhere that roasting them really cuts out the bitter factor. I mellowed the flavor a lot! It still had a bit of bite, but not the sharp flavor. Almost like a roasted turnip.  This means there’s one more veggie I’ll be able to eat when I get back into P2. Yay!

I had planned on transitioning into my next round on the 6th, but I have a friend coming for a visit from out of town that following weekend… So, I’m going to hold off & do my loading days when he’s here. So, I’ll be starting injections on the 11th.

Today’s food was: Breakfast was eggs scrambled with ham, broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, & some romano cheese with coffee/fat-free half and half. Ate a bit of beef jerky & an Atkins bar for lunch. Had a snack of an apple & Dubliner cheese. Dinner was two drumsticks & half a large salad (with salsa) from El Pollo Loco.

R1P4D21 – Get out, get out of my life and let me sleep at night…

Today: 235 / LDW: 239.6 / Net: -4.6

I got about 9 1/2 hours sleep last night… I’m hoping for at least 8 hours tonight. Maybe I can kick this stupid sore throat & exhaustion.  Still really wiped out… I don’t know why the heck I’m so dang tired.

I still have to finish packing for my weekend, so this is going to be pretty short. I’m going to a friend’s house out of town tomorrow for some scrapbooking. 🙂  I’ll try to post my weight in the morning before I head out, since it’s pretty unlikely that I’ll be able to post tomorrow night.

I didn’t have the greatest eating day – I just wanted happy-making Mexican food… So…

Breakfast was bisquick quiche, an apple, Dubliner cheese, & coffee/cream. Lunch was two tacos with some chips & salsa. Dinner was bratwurst and saurkraut. Dessert was an Atkins Endulge coconut bar.

R1P4D20 – No one can save me, the damage is done…

Today: 236.6 / LDW: 239.6 / Net: -3.0

I think I’m trying to fight off a flu or something… I’ve been absolutely exhausted the past 3 days – and today I kept getting asked if I was feeling okay (even though I was feeling fine). One of the nurses looked at me and asked if I was anemic! (Never had that problem before, I usually have plenty of iron in my blood.)

Anyway, I’m under direct orders – by no fewer than 5 nurses – to go straight to bed when I got home. So, I’m going to go curl up with Senõr NyQuil and a book.

Oh, I did do my Slim in 6 video this morning before work. Yay.

Breakfast was eggs w/ cheese, bacon, & coffee/cream. Lunch was an ENORMOUS hamburger patty, a bit of cheese, sauteed mushrooms/peppers, and a mozzarella stick. I just ate a big handful of blueberries with a bit of cream, so I have a base for my NyQuil dose.

R1P4D19 – It’s a cat call from the past…

Today: 235.6 / LDW: 239.6 / Net: -4.0

I probably shouldn’t have… but I let myself have a treat for dinner… We had Vietnamese Noodle Bowls (Bun Thit Nuong).  I love those things, and we used to have them 3 or 4 times a month.  We haven’t had them since I started my hCG journey – so, it’s been right around 3 months.  It’s a crazy number of carbs (80), but overall pretty low in calories (650) for the amount of food you get.  I ate almost all of mine. I feel a bit bloated… but content. 🙂

Now, I just need to make myself get up and actually do my exercises in the morning.  Today was a day off, since I do my full body measurements on Wednesdays – I just don’t have time to exercise too.  I did walk around the office building today, at least. That’s 1/2 mile in about 10 minutes.

I lost a total of 1.25 inches this week – .25 each from: the fatty area above my waist, waist, hips, around both thighs, & my calf.  Since I started hCG, I’ve lost a total of 25 inches over 12 measurements – and 31.6 pounds.  Since I started working on my weight, I’ve lost a total of 52.5 (YES, over fifty!) inches over those same 12 measurements! (neck, bust, chest[bra strap], upper rt arm, lower rt arm, above the waist, waist[belly button], hips, low hip/butt, around both thighs, upper rt thigh, rt calf)  I’ve also lost a total of 68.4 pounds from my highest point!!

Wow. It’s been a pretty long journey so far with many ups & downs…
I began my journey back in May 2005. But I wasn’t really ready to make a long term change. I dropped down from 290ish to 235 over a years time. But, it pretty much all came back. In  April of 2007, I started another journey down – reaching a ‘low’ of 265 by the end of the year. I tried going on Weight Watchers – but didn’t lose ANY weight on that during the year I was doing it – just yoyo’d between 275 & 269.  Then I crept up again. Started exercising & food logging for a couple months, went from 282 to 279 – then I got sick & didn’t log anything (or even exercise) for around 6 months.  June of 2010 is when I really started getting serious about taking care of myself – at a weight of 304, I knew something had to be done & it had to be a life long commitment.  I started out with South Beach & then just started being careful with my eating. I had lost around 27 pounds when I finally decided to try the hCG.

My eventual goal is to get back under 200 pounds… I really do think I can do it! (Only 36 pounds to get there!)  That will mean over 100 pounds lost since June 2010.

My 20 year high school reunion is next year – and I really don’t want to be one of those “whoa, what happened to you?” people…  I’d much rather be one of those “woah, you look hot!” people. 🙂

Breakfast was an omelete with spinach, artichoke, & parmesan, dubliner cheese, & coffee/cream. Lunch was a cobb salad with bleu cheese dressing. Dinner was bun thit nuong.

R1P4D18 – You can have anything your want, but you better not take it from me…

The protein day seems to have helped… I dropped 1.8 from yesterday. Yay!  At least I’m back down in the 235’s. 🙂

I have been going to bed WAY too late lately… 5 hours of sleep a night is just not enough for me. So, it’ll be an early night for me tonight.

I only did half of my workout video this morning, though. My back started twinging – in a bad way. So, I stopped and spent the rest of the video doing stretches. I did a little bit of yoga tonight & I’ll do my push-ups before I head to bed. Oh well. At least I moved today, even if it was only for a short amount of time…

I must REALLY be showing the difference in my shape/size lately… People at work are constantly commenting on it!  It’s nice that it’s gotten to the point where it’s blatant. That means I’m doing something right. 😉

Breakfast was bacon, eggs, strawberries, & coffee/cream. Lunch was a bowl of cioppino. Snack was an apple & almond butter. Dinner was 2 slices of “Bisquick Quiche” and blueberries/cream.

R1P4D17 – It’s a push of the world, but there’s always a chance…

Meh, need to crack down!

Today was a “protein & water” day. Perhaps it’ll make a difference in my morning weigh in tomorrow…  I’ve been slipping a bit here & there – well, not really slipping, since I each item was thought about and the decision was made to eat/drink it – and the scale is telling me about it.  I’m still happy that I’m below my last drop day, though. And, I know that I’m supposed to be staying in that range – it’s just so much nicer to see smaller numbers! LOL

I finally got my scanner hooked back up today. Which means I can start back in on the ENORMOUS number of photos, negative, & slides I got from my mom’s storage unit. They go all the way back to the 30’s! I have no clue who some of the people in the negative & slides are – even a lot of the photos aren’t labeled… But, I’ll scan ’em & get ’em up on my Smugmug account, so the family I have left can try to help me ID folks. It’s neat seeing all the different styles through the eras. Oh! This is a picture of my grandmother (1949) in her high school band uniform – with the saxophone that I and my mom also both played through our school years. Actually, I still have that sax! It’s in a closet upstairs… I haven’t played it AGES, but I’ve got it!

Slim in 6 update:  Today is day 4 – and it’s getting a bit easier. (Or, at least, I don’t feel like I need to amputate my legs because they hurt so much.) I think I’ll be ready to bump up to the next level on schedule.  I’m supposed to a week of video 1, 2 weeks of video 2, & 3 weeks of video 3 – 6 days on, one off each week. Then I’ll be slim! Well… that’s what the video says, right?? 😉

Breakfast was 3 fried eggs, 3 slices of bacon, & coffee (no cream). Lunch was 3 eggs & a small dill pickle made into egg salad with 1 tbsp may & 1 tsp mustard. Dinner was 1/3 pound hamburger & and egg made into a burger, wrapped in bacon, with 1.5 oz sharp cheddar.

Mini Update

Okay. Up another pound today…  Not surprising, considering the two pieces of bread yesterday.

So, I’m aiming to make today a protein day. Hopefully I can correct the up trend this week without resorting to a straight “steak day”

I also managed to get up at 6AM and do the Slim in 6 workout. Didn’t do the Slim & Lean part, figured that would be good to do after work as a ‘wind down’.

The good thing is that, even with the 3 pounds up over the past few days, I’m still 2 pounds below my last drop day. Yay!

R1P4D16 – Look at them go, look at them kick…

Meh. Water retention, I believe… My muscles are very sore from the exercising, so I have a feeling I’ve got a bit of water weight going on.  Today, the Slim in 6 video was easier – I don’t feel quite so wiped out. I think I need to start doing it in the morning, though. I have a feeling that going to bed shortly after the workout the past few nights have given me a bit of a lactic acid/crampy problem.  I plan on getting up earlier in the morning to do “day 4” on the program.

The next phase of the SI6 needs resistance bands – so Hubby took me out to buy a set. We also ended up coming home with some 8 pound dumbbells for me (that’s the size the P90X thing says to use), some 20 pound dumbbells for him, and a neat door-mounted resistance band “gym”. (This means we’ll be getting rid of the Norditrack Gold that we got from one of my co-workers – used once – and takes up a lot of space. Someone on Freecycle will be most pleased…)  I also need to remember to inflate my Pilates ball… I only bought it a month ago!

So… today I was ‘naughty’. I contemplated my choices, and weighed the pros & cons, and then selected to have sourdough bread with breakfast. 🙂  I may be up tomorrow, I may be down. But either way, I made the decision fully informed of possible consequences.  I have to live my life – I can’t just avoid some food forever. Especially if it’s something I really enjoy. Like the Turkey/Swiss/Ortega Chili melt on Sourdough sandwich at our favorite greasy-spoon.  I figure, as long as I don’t do stuff like that often, I will be able to maintain my new weight range. (I, seriously, used to have that for breakfast 1-2 time a week! With fries!)

Breakfast was the aforementioned sandwich, with tomato slices, 1 tbsp ranch dressing, & coffee/half and half. Snack was more coffee/cream. Lunch was an apple with almond butter, cheese stick, & a bit of turkey breast. Dinner was homemade cioppino (tomato base, crab, tilapia, & shrimp).
