R3P3D13 – There’s a party goin’ on right here, A celebration to last throughout the years…

Today: 207.2 / LIW: 206.2 / Net: +1.0

You know… I’ve been complaining about the slow scale creep that I had/have been having… But, I’m not so sure that it’s as bad as I was thinking. Or, at least, I seem to have (hopefully) arrested it. I was comparing this P3 to previous P3’s… where I pretty much stabilized below my LIW. This time, I was pretty much freaking out, I think, because I’m above LIW. However, looking at my last 9 days – I’ve been rock solid between 206.6 and 207.6 – that is only a one pound window! Looking at it from that perspective, it’s not nearly so scary as thinking “oh my gosh, I’m blah-blah-blah above LIW.” It’s all about perspective, isn’t it? 🙂

So, today I made myself a chocolate mug cake – OMG! So much yummy in just a couple of minutes! No flour, no sugar, no problem!
It even LOOKS like cake! —–>>
(Actually, I think it really looks like a Hostess cupcake – without the frosting… but, maybe that’s just me.) I’ll post the recipe below.

Hubby & still haven’t managed to go out on a ride with his new wheels yet… He got stuck at work late. Meh. Hopefully we’ll get at least one ride in before this weekend – since we won’t be able to then… gonna be traveling out of state.

Breakfast was beef & eggs with coffee/cream.
Snack was Just The Cheese & coffee/cream.
Lunch was lamb & spinach.
Snack was the chocolate mug cake.
Dinner was beef & asparagus.

R3P3D12 – Little red corvette, Baby you’re much 2 fast…

Today was hubby’s birthday. Yay! Happy birthday, hubby! We bought him a swoopty new bicycle. It’s red & purdy. 🙂

We spent a bit more than intended… but, hey, he’s really happy with it – and it’s better to spend a little more and get something you’re really happy with. Rather than having to spend that much AGAIN later when you decide what you originally bought isn’t working out. Right?

We haven’t gone on a ride yet with the new bike, hopefully in the next day or two.

We went over to Bestie’s after getting back from REI & spent the afternoon hanging out, making shish kabobs, & watching both halves of the last Harry Potter movie.

We just got home, and it’s super late… and I’m really tired. So, gonna wrap this up.

Breakfast was a scramble with eggs, bacon, jalepenos, & jack cheese – with sour cream & salsa, also coffee with cream.
Lunch was Just The Cheese & pistachios.
Dinner was lamb, beef, & chicken shish kabobs with onion, mushroom, tomatoes, & bell pepper.
Dessert was sliced strawberries with a bit of Greek yogurt.

R3P3D11 – When life is too much, roll with it, baby, Don’t stop and lose your touch, oh no, baby…

Today was a super busy day!

Hubby & I went through our closet, trying on all of the clothes we have – and we ended up filling three giant lawn & leaf bags with clothes for the thrift store and another l&l bag with garbage (clothes too far gone for thrifting, holey socks, torn unders, etc).  Then we did a little shopping – I got a couple pairs of slacks & a few blouses.

When we got home, we decided to bust out the bicycles… Went on an 8 mile ride. Not real long… but considering neither of us have been in the saddle since September, we figured it was a good start. 🙂  My sitz-spots are a kind of sore, but overall it felt good to be back on the bike. Basically, the last time we rode was before my back surgery!

Once we got home from that, we decided to go catch a show at the local “cheap theater”… $3 movies. Yay!  We saw John Carter. It was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed it. But, WOW, they changed a lot from the books, didn’t they? I haven’t read the third book yet – but I have a feeling that some of the Thern story line intertwined into the movie maybe from Warlord of Mars. There were quite a few bits that Iknow weren’t in the two books I’ve read so far.

Well… I’m going to wrap this up. Tomorrow is Hubby’s birthday, and we’re going to bike shopping for him as a present. He’s been riding a mountain bike on all of our rides! So, we’re going to find him a decent road bike.

Breakfast was NY Steak and eggs with jalapenos, coffee/half&half.
Snack was macadamia nuts.
Lunch was a cobb salad with blue cheese dressing.
Dinner was blueberries with cream & a flax mug muffin and coffee/cream.

R2P3D10 – Almond looks, That chill divine…

Yay! Down a pound.

I had a bit of a cheat today… hopefully it doesn’t cause too much trouble tomorrow… I’m not supposed to reintroduce ‘good carbs’ back in for another week and a half. And, today I had a Flax Mug Muffin with my breakfast. I was sooper yummy… but not exactly on plan. It was pretty low-carb, though… so maybe I’ll be okay.

Breakfast was the muffin, beef, eggs, and coffee/cream.
Lunch was a cobb salad with blue cheese dressing.
Snack was a Just The Cheese packet.
Dinner was bbq hot link, bbq chicken, & cole slaw.

Today was a high protein/fat day. Just to see if I could jolt my system out of this slow up creep… I’ll see tomorrow if it worked – of if I’m staring a correction day in the face. LOL

Breakfast was tri tip with jalepenos and coffee with cream & a tsp of coconut oil.
Snack was spicy pork rinds with cream cheese.
Lunch was tuna salad with Parmesan Reggiano cheese.
Snack was macadamia nuts and coffee with cream.
Dinner was a Just The Cheese jalapeno flavor packet. (I just couldn’t face more food – and I was already over 2000 calories!)

The weather is making me sleepy today… It’s been kind of windy & overcast all day.
I think I’m going to keep this really short tonight, do my hooping, & then go to bed early.

Oh, but yay for no gain this morning!

Snack was Fage & blueberries.
Lunch was a crab/shrimp pan roast.
Dinner was Ono grilled with pesto & broccoli (with a dab of ranch dressing).

R3P3D7 – You spin me right round, baby, Right round like a record, baby…

Scale creep is creeping… meh. Well – still well below the +2 pounds that would require a correction day, so that’s good. 🙂  I’m just hoping that I start seeing a down creep instead of this up creep of the past 5 days. I’m less sore today, so maybe my muscles will start letting go of the water they’ve been keeping hold of…

I have got to say – I am loving me some exercise cleverly disguised as play time! I’ve been using my weighted hoop every day. I started out with just a few minutes – and I’m up to 8 now. I don’t want to hurt myself, especially since I had that back surgery in November! Oh! And, today my poi came in the mail! A new toy!  They’re really super cheapy things – but I think they’ll work well enough to give me a good idea if I want to spend more $$ on better. Gotta admit, looks pretty likely. 🙂  I spun poi for about 10 minutes after I hooped this evening. I bought ‘tail poi’. I probably look like a crazy person out in my backyard today playing with my toys… but who cares! I was having fun & moving my body — and THAT is all that counts.

Breakfast was beef, onion, jalapeno, eggs, and coffee/cream.
Snack was macadamia nuts & Just The Cheese.
Lunch was a pulled pork chef salad with blue cheese dressing.
Dinner was roasted tri tip & asparagus with butter & curry powder.

R3P3D6 – And she was lying in the grass, And she could hear the highway breathing…

Today was a ‘travel’ day for work. That means my food choices were a little odd – but hopefully it’ll all work out on the scale tomorrow.

I had to go out and buy all new undergarments today… I’ve shrunk out of yet another bra size – and I hadn’t bought new underpants in about 50 pounds, so I was running around with uber-saggy-bottom! LOL Dropped 3 sizes there. *grin*

I’m going to keep this really short tonight. I still need to go do my nightly hooping. Especially since the only other exercise I did today was a mile walk. Of course, maybe taking it easy today on the exercise is a good thing, after all of the yard work this weekend.

Breakfast was left over chile verde & cauliflower with two eggs and coffee/almond milk.
Snack was macadamia nuts & Just The Cheese.
Lunch was Fage 0% and blackberries and an Atkins Coconut bar.
Snack was an Atkins Chocolate Peanut Nougat bar.
Dinner was Turkey Spinach Loaf (recipe below).

R3P3D5 – Don’t need nothin’ but a good time, How can I resist…

Gotta love that water retention… Oh well, at least it was only .4 – I’m not worried. Between the weather (it’s been in the mid-80’s) and the yard work, I’m certain that my body is holding on to every ounce of water I’ve sucked down over the past two days. LOL

Today I finished the front veggie bed —>
(Well, Hubby helped a bit – he planted the tomatoes & put down the mulch.)
I spent about 2 hours digging out old roots & clayed dirt. (Seriously, it was almost like I hadn’t done exactly the same darn thing to this bed last year!) Then, I turned 5 bags of compost/manure into it. *whew* MORE SORE MUSCLES.

Breakfast was the other half of yesterday’s omelette & coffee/cream.
Snack was a packet of Just The Cheese.
Lunch was a pork chop with blue cheese sauce and broccoli with ranch.
Dinner was Chile Verde (OMG, love that stuff from Costco!) and cauliflower “Spanish Rice”.
Dessert was a handful of frozen blueberries with some heavy cream.

R3P3D4 – All day long they work so hard, Till the sun is goin’ down…

Oy… Tired Me is Tired…

The weather was beautiful today – got up to around 88 degrees. And, that means it was time to start getting the yard in order & planting out seedlings for our garden this year!   Hubby & I hit Home Depot & picked up the raised beds we’d decided we liked.  We also picked up some cinder blocks so I could level out the gravel in our side-driveway. And a couple more plants… and many bags of Steer Manure…

Got home & Hubby went to work on putting together the beds, while I shoveled gravel & put in the new cinder-edging. I got done first. LOL

So, that gravel bed over there —–>
It was, before I started today, just a big mound of gravel – which made that area pretty much unusable. I had to move the gravel more into the pile, so I could dig down & inset the cinders into the bed dirt. Then, I filled the holes in the cinders with the gravel & then leveled out the pile. Looks so much better now. 🙂

I also spent around an hour getting started on the front walk bed – where we’re going to plant the tomatoes & peppers.  I only got about a third of the way done with that, though. I got one of the many bags of manure tilled into the first 3 feet of planter. And then I planted a couple of blueberry bushes & a banana pepper plant.  I also planted strawberries in a strawberry pot, which we’ll keep on the front porch, and a couple of mint plants (Apple Mint & Spearmint) into a railing planter box.

I plan on getting the rest of the bed tilled with manure tomorrow & then get the tomatoes & sweet peppers planted.  Hubby will finish filling the raised beds & plant the rest of the seedling sprouts. I don’t remember what all we are planting – I know we’ve got radishes & Brussels sprouts… And, I think cauliflower. And I know there’s other stuff, but he’s in charge of the growing things – plants usually come to me for assisted suicide. I mean, really, who but me can kill off mint??

Okay. I’m gonna wrap this up and go fall asleep on the couch. LOL

Breakfast was half of an omelette with bacon, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, & jack cheese with sour cream & salsa and coffee with half & half.
Lunch was a small mozzarella & tomato salad and a double order of seared ahi and Asian slaw. (BJ’s Restaurant)
Dinner was two deviled egg halves and a small steak cooked in butter.
