R2P2D17 – Shake up the picture the lizard mixture…

Le sigh. I do not love these slow loss days…  I’m still averaging about the same as last round, so I should be pleased. But, you know – one always wishes for MORE. 🙂

I’m contemplating going a few extra days this round – possibly 3.  Since I just mixed a new batch on Monday, and a mix tends to last about 9 injections… My original planned stopping day would be at 6 days into the bottle. Seems kind of wasteful. :-/  That would have me hitting P3 next Saturday (instead of Wednesday) – so I can still join Roomie in her “oh thank god it’s over omelet fest” that weekend. LOL  And, really, squeezing in a few more days of loss is never a bad thing, right?

Oooh! One of my girlfriends (the fabulous MizzM, who I went to Vegas with a few weeks ago) has finally ‘set the date’ with her honey!!  This is a good thing, since she had asked me to be one of her bridesmaids… and the wedding will be in Montana…  Now I can put in for the time off work. 😀 Labor Day weekend! (Of course, this means putting off Dragon*Con another year – but this is a GOOD reason!) I think that Hubby & I will do some sight seeing while we’re up in that neck of the woods – apparently her parent’s ranch is super close to Yellowstone National Park.

Breakfast was coffee/water.

Lunch was Mahi Mahi & yellow squash.
Dinner was flank steak, roasted radishes & a piece of garlic melba.

R2P2D16 – Things are going great, and they’re only getting better…

Yay! A loss today. 🙂 And, I’m into the 210’s!!! WOOT!

It’s been a week of Monday’s already… and it’s only Tuesday! *whine*
Our receptionist has been taking some days off – which means I have to spend more time covering the front desk. Blech. That means I’m not getting MY work done. :-/  And, today, because every Tuesday is our Interdisciplinary Team meetings, I ‘got’ to spend 4 hours at the front desk instead of the usual 2… fun fun.

So, I found another TV show that I need to catch up on… Warehouse 13! Love it! I’m about 3 episodes in now. Thank goodness for Netflix! LOL

Breakfast was coffee/water.
Snack was an apple.
Lunch was beef & tomatoes (with chili spice).
Dinner was Chicken “Fried Rice”. (recipe below)

R2P2D15 – Color me your color darling, I know who you are…

Seriously, it’s days like this I hate being a woman… that ‘special visitor’ causing water retention – joy. And, really?? Now?? I’m so dang close to being in the 210’s!! Argh!

The weather took a hard left today, as well… Last week was gorgeous! This weekend was nice (even if it started to get a bit windy). And this morning? Woke up up a bunch of snow! (Gotta love Northern Nevada weather – they say… if you don’t like the weather? Just wait 5 minutes, it’ll change!)  The good thing is that it gave me the perfect opportunity to take a photo of my pretty new jacket!

Even better, is that I realized that a vintage hat I bought a couple of years ago goes with it perfectly! Yay for wine colored wool!

Of course… snow out meant that the dogs were wanting nothing to do with going outside today… so, no walk for them. LOL  I really don’t blame them much – they’re low to the ground, and I wouldn’t want my belly/chest being drug through the snow (or getting all wet). 🙂

So, I’ve found a really nice ‘treat’ to have – which helps me drink even more water…  I put about 10 drops of the Root Beer flavored Stevia into my 1 liter water bottle. Yum!!  I may try it with the Vanilla Creme flavor, too… I keep intending to pick up a bottle of club soda, for the Root Beer Stevia – but I forget every time I’m at the store! *sigh* Eventually, I’ll remember.

Breakfast was coffee/water & a poached egg and egg white.
Snack was an apple.
Lunch was beef & asparagus.
Dinner was shrimp & cucumber salad (recipe below).

R2P2D14 – You’re obliged to conform when there’s no other course…

At first this morning, when I saw I’d only gone down .2, I was quite vexed. But, a couple of hours later, I found out what the major problem was… I got a ‘special visitor’ today. Whee. So, a bit of water retention for me. :-/  Plus, with the hiking yesterday, I’ve probably got a bit of swelling from the activity. So, I guess I’m glad that it was down at all!

My Winter Biggest Loser Challenge on SparkPeople has come to a close. Our team didn’t do so great… but I think I was the top loser for our team, so that’s good for me. LOL  I’m going to be a co-captain for my team for the Spring Challenge! I’m kind of excited!  I was chuffed when I found out that one of my captains for Winter is someone I actually know personally (have known her for many years) – and I didn’t even know she was a leader for the challenges until I was assigned to her team! And, now, I’m her co-leader. Yay!

I had intended to take the dogs for a walk today… to try to keep them moving regularly… but that didn’t happen. They wanted nothing to do with anything but sleeping all day! (I think we wore them out something fierce yesterday! lol)  Oh well, at least I got them bathed – they were starting to get a little whiffy & they were both filthy from the hike yesterday. (Low-slung dogs pick up a lot of dust…)

Did some grocery shopping… it’s sooo much cheaper to shop while we’re on the VLCD! *grin* We got out of Costco for just over $100! It was a miracle!

Lunch was shrimp & tomatoes (cooked with garlic, salt, & tumeric YUMMY!).
Dinner was MahiMahi pan-seared with Braggs Aminos & steamed broccoli (I also rogued a bit with a small dab of wasabi for the fish) .

R2P2D13 – Face to face in secret places feel the chill…

Wow! A bit of a woosh there… I can’t believe how close to the 210’s I am! Maybe tomorrow??

Today was a really fun day, even if it was weird eating-wise…
Hubby & I met up with Bestie, MrM, their kids Boy-o and Gabs, and ALL our doxies (there are 5 between us!) for a morning of hiking & geocaching.

We did about a mile and a half, probably, of hiking. It was a lot steeper in places than I expected, but we all plugged along. Even our chunky doxies. 😀

And found our first ever geocache! Yay! We signed the log book, left a small stuffed pig with wings & took a neat painted spoon. We also found the spot where another cache was supposed to be, but the cache was gone. 😦  It’s very sad when that happens… but, it was fun tromping around in the brush looking for it. LOL

We grilled meat and veggies (well, I baked my radishes) and then watched The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’hoole. It was a fun movie. Not one I would usually choose for myself, but I still enjoyed it. It’s been a REALLY long, active day – the dogs are EXHAUSTED and I’m not much further behind. 🙂

I finally got contacted by the Tupperware lady… and we’ve rescheduled. 🙂  This is a good thing – gives me another week or so to get my house ‘company ready’. Plus, a few students from the University are wanting to sit in on one of her parties – and have offered up paying for wine for it. So, I get to be the lucky hostess! I don’t mind if a couple extra people are there. And wine is good. (Bonus, by rescheduling out a couple of weeks, I’ll be into P3 – so I’ll get to have some of the wine!)

Breakfast was coffee/water, plus I had a poached egg + egg white.
Snack was an apple.
Didn’t eat lunch – just didn’t happen. :-/
Dinner was beef & radishes.
Snack was 3/4 cup fat free Fage, to get my protein/calories up.

R2P2D12 – Eenie meenie mynie moe, tell me where you wanna go…

Now, THAT’S a lot of 2’s… lol
I was super happy to see all those twos, also… meant I managed to get enough water in yesterday. Yay!

Fridays at work are ‘casual’, so that means I get to wear jeans. The pair I wore last week were starting to get pretty big on me. So, I pulled some jeans off of the next shelf up, AND THEY FIT! I had separated my pants a back in November into “fits now”, “a bit too snug”, “can’t fasten”, & “not even close”. Each of these were put on their own shelves in my closet. I also put the “hahaha, wishful thinking” into a suitcase on the top shelf (these were the ones I couldn’t get up past my thighs).
As it stands now, the first two shelves of pants have been given away & that “can’t fasten” shelf are the ones that are getting too big! *giddy* The pants I wore today? From the “not even close” shelf!!! They are a standard size 18 (not Women’s!) from Old Navy! *more giddy*  And I didn’t have muffin top over them! *extreme giddy*  I may have to break out those “haha” pants here pretty soon! Woot!  (I actually took a picture of my belly in the not even close pants… I’ll have to see if those pants fit me now & post that before/after!)

Hubby, Bestie, MrM (Bestie’s hubby), & I are going to go on a small hike tomorrow & maybe try and find a geocache or two.  Geocaching has fascinated me for a while, but it always seemed like so much effort. LOL  Now, I’m raring to get outside & Do Stuff.  I’m really excited about it.  Then, we’re going to go over to Bestie’s house & bbq (mine will cook super-fast LOL) and maybe watch movies or play a game. 🙂

R2P2D11 – I’m a rolling thunder, a pouring rain…

I think not drinking my normal 80+ oz of water yesterday really did me in. Only think I can think of as to why I only dropped 0.2  Everything I ate was on plan yesterday (or, at least things I’ve had no troubles with previously).

I’m supposed to be having a Tupperware party on Wednesday next week… but the rep hasn’t called me yet!  I’ve got a couple of folks from work wanting to come & a couple of others wanting to order (but can’t make it). So, yay for that.  I need to invite a couple other folks, as well – maybe I’ll just post it out to my Facebook. LOL

Today, I really realized how far I’ve come in my weight loss journey.  About three years ago, I was 80 pounds heavier. Yup, that would be me  actually being over 300 pounds at one point.

While I still have a little ways to go… I’m so proud of how far I’ve come!
 

I can’t even begin to describe how much better I feel…
I think that folks I haven’t seen in a while (that don’t really look at Facebook) are going to be shocked & maybe not even recognize me! LOL

This makes me just that much closer to being able to do more of the stuff on my wanna-do list. A lot of my wanna-do-activities will be SOOO much easier being this size. I can’t even imagine bungie jumping before. When I was in Mexico this summer, we had to cancel one of our excursions because I was over the weight limit (by 5 frigging pounds!) – so, didn’t get to spelunk or zip-line. :-/

R2P2D10 – Here come the woman with the look in her eye…

Wednesday night – means dungeon running with Roomie, Bestie, & fam. So… That means this is gonna be short, ’cause it’s past my bedtime. 🙂

So, 11 pounds down, and today is my 13th injection. Day 10 of VLCD. Not too shabby!! I slept much better last night. And, I didn’t have any weird flushing. *shrug* dunno.

Roomie ran out of her homeopathic hcg tonight… so I’m mixing her up a small batch of Rx for sublingual. It’ll be interesting to see if she has better/different results with the Rx compared to the homeopathic. I’ll keep ya’ll posted. 🙂
I don’t see that I’m losing any faster with the Rx injections – but I do seem to be ‘shrinking’ a whole lot faster. I’ve lost more inches this week than I did in the first three weeks on the homeopathic. I mean, seriously! I lost an entire 3/4 inch on my upper thigh this week!! Took me 4 weeks for that much on my thigh last round!

R2P2D9 – I was working part time in a five-and-dime…

Meh, still really run down… I didn’t sleep well, couldn’t get warm last night! So, I crawled out of bed after a couple hours of trying to warm up & took a warm shower. That helped – it warmed me up enough to fall asleep. Of course, at that point it was almost 2 am. *sigh*

I’m going to share a bit of TMI now – so, just skip this paragraph if you don’t want to know. LOL
When I got up to warm up last night… When I got to the bathroom and flicked on the light and looked in the mirror… I was super-flushed, all over! My face, my arms, chest, upper thighs, & my frickin’ nipples! So, on top of my really tender breasts all day yesterday, I had bright red headlights! :-/

Weird. But, a couple of people I’ve spoken to have gotten body flushes & tender parts. So, I’ll roll with it & just keep an eye on myself. This morning, there was no flushing, so hopefully it was just because I had mixed up a fresh batch of hcg & it was ‘stronger’ than what I had taken the previous couple of days. 🙂

R2P2D8 – I don’t know when to start or when to stop…

Still a bit ‘slow’ today… but, it’s in the right direction! LOL

I’m having some soreness in my breasts… Not sure what that’s about – I didn’t have it when I was doing the drops. :-/  Just achey & one is pretty tender. I guess I’ll give it a couple of days and see if it subsides. I’ve been reading through my usual forums & it seems that the tenderness is not unheard of. It just sucks… I keep catching myself holding myself! LOL

I think I may also be trying to fight off a creeping crud… Roomie is a bit sick & I’m just exhausted & have a bit of a sore throat. 😦  So, I’m going to make this short & go to bed early tonight.
