Day five – da da da dahhhh

No headache! How awesome is that??

I’ve had a bit of a rumbely tummy all day, though… It’s probably been saying “Hey, lady! We’re used to having much more stuff down here!!” I haven’t been hungry, per se… but my stomach has definitely noticed that something is going on.

So, today was my first VLCD at work. Not too bad… but it makes it really hard to eat on any decent schedule. (Especially when your teammate goes to lunch an hour late, and you can’t go until they get back.)

Drops at 7:30, 1:30, & 5:30.
Breakfast was iced coffee & water.
Snack at 10:30 was an apple & 13g of wheat melba.
Lunch at 2:30(!) was 120g of shrimp & 55g of spinach.
Dinner at 7:00 was 100g of flank steak (YUM!) and 100g of tomatoes.
Dessert at 8:00 will be 90g of strawberries sprinkled with stevia.

Water total: 80oz

To reward myself with my first successful week, the hubby & I are going to go see Weird Al on Saturday. So excited!! Hubby is really being supportive. At first, I was afraid that he’d be very negative about this diet; but he’s been great!

Day four – whew!

All righty! Day 4 of diet, day 2 of VLC.

I’ve survived. LOL

Drops at: 8:30, 12:30, & 6:00
Breakfast was iced coffee, hot tea, & bottle of water. 🙂
Lunch at 1:00 was tilapia, 100g of turnip greens, & 1/2 serving of garlic melba.
Snack at 4:00 was an apple.
Dinner at 6:30 was beef and 120g of spinach.
Dessert at 8:00 was an apple crisp (cubed apple, crushed melba, stevia, & cinnamon)

Actually, I did great today! A couple of times I felt a bit hungry… but nothing unmanageable, and a big glass of water put it in it’s place. I had a bit of a headache, but it was very low grade.

Day four, morning

Today’s weight: 263.8

net change: down 3.6

HOLY TOLEDO!! Day four, and down almost 4 pounds!  Yes… I know, that’s what you’re told to expect… but, really, you don’t believe it until you see it.  Hopefully I’ll be keeping up that rate as the next few weeks pass.

Just took my drops, now off to make some iced coffee for breakfast!

End of day three…

Well, I’ve survived my first VLCD! Yay! I still have a bit of a low-grade headache, though. Hubby thinks it may be because of a bit of an electrolyte imbalance, since I pretty much cut sodium out cold turkey today. *shrug* dunno. Maybe tomorrow it’ll be gone. 🙂

Took my first drops at 8:30, second drops at 1:00, third drops at 5:30.
Had iced coffee, iced tea, & a bottle of water for breakfast.
Lunch at 1:30 was beef & 100g steamed spinach (with black pepper).
Snack at 4:00 was an apple.
Dinner at 6:00 was chicken breast & 120g of collard greens cooked together with a dash of hot sauce.
Snack at 8:30 was an apple.

I need to go get some strawberries & oranges from the grocery tomorrow. Oh, and probably more apples – I only have 4 left.

Overall, I’m feeling pretty good! I had a tough time actually eating all of the food today. About half way through both lunch & dinner, I was starting to feel full. My mood has been pretty decent as well.

Day three, morning

Not too horrible, considering all the fat & crap I’ve eaten over the past two days. Now… if this headache would just go away. *sigh*

I’ve made my breakfast coffee (strong french press coffee over ice & topped off with water) and filled up my water bottle… so, I’m just sitting here for another 10 minutes for my drops to do their thing.  I’m not hungry in my tummy, but my brain is SO used to eating breakfast that I’m mentally hungry. Hopefully, once I start downing water, it’ll give up the thought of an omelet. LOL

Day two— sooo full!

Day two with the drops. Another loading day.
I’m having a really hard time eating all of this food. I’ve pretty much felt uncomfortably full all day. *meh*
Today, I’ve eaten: French Toast sticks with syrup, most of a bacon/egg croissant sandwich, coffee, orange juice, a handfull of candy, two onion rings, a banana split, & a liter of water. Planning on going to Red Lobster for dinner… hope I can choke enough down to make it worth while!

Tomorrow is my first 500 calorie day. Here we go!
I’m very excited. 😀

ETA: OMG! So flipping full! Ate a ton of shrimp!  I’m thinking that the load days are so that you’re still feeling full for the 3 weeks after! LOL

*Tah Dah*

Well, here I am!

I have tried diet after diet with little to no success. Well, I can’t really say that exactly. Over the past year, I’ve lost 35 pounds. This being with diet/some exercise. Overall, it sounds great… but, with 70 or so pounds more to lose, I’m just frustrated with the snails pace here.
So. I’ve decided to try the HCG diet. There has been a double handful of women in my office who have had some pretty good success with it, enough to make me willing to give it a shot myself.
At first I was pretty freaked out by the idea… but the more I read about it, and the more success my office mates had, the more comfortable I became with the idea.

I bought Premium hCG ezTrim drops from Vitamin Connection (which is the same drops my office mates use). Active ingredients: hCG 6x, 12x, 30x, 60x; L-Carnitine 6x, 12x, 30x, 60x.  Inactive ingredients: USP purified water, USP Grain Alcohol (20% by volume).  The dosage is 10 drops 3 times a day.

Today is day one of ‘loading’. Chili Relleno (mmmmmm) & tamale for lunch – Turkey/cheese/egg wraps for breakfast – steak & mashed sweet potatoes with butter for dinner.

Starting photos (267.4 lbs) – to keep me honest! LOL
