So – long (really, really long) time no update…
Over the last 7 months or so, I’ve let my eating get a little out of hand. I’ve been “trying” to keep it clean/mostly Primal/etc, but it slipped – a lot. This means I’ve put on about 15 lbs or so (I think). This was stressing me out to see the scale gradually creeping up, and I caught myself weighing 4 or 5 times a day – first thing in the morning, before eating, after eating, before going to bed, and so on… It had to stop, so I gave myself an intervention and had Hubby hide the scale from me for a month. The plan was to clean up my eating, but not worry about that pesky number.
Well… It’s been 3 weeks & I didn’t “clean it up”. If anything, I’ve been worse.
So. Time for a new intervention. One with some accountability. LOL
I’ll be getting on the scale in the morning – even though it’s not been a full month (hubby has agreed to unhide it for this). Because…

We’re beginning a Whole30!
It scares me a bit, which probably means I need it even more. I’m about half way through the book It Starts With Food by Dallas & Melissa Hartwig – the folks who ‘invented’ the Whole30 – and it just makes so much sense to me. I need to dial my eating habits back in and I think this is (hopefully) the way to do it.
Basically, in a nutshell, the Whole30 is: Eating meat, seafood, veggies, some fruit, & good fats. NOT eating added sugars, alcohol, grains, and dairy.
So, wish me luck – I think I may need it!
