Whoops, I didn’t make a post yesterday… I had a nail appointment right after work and then came home & made dinner… then I went to bed early. So, a post just didn’t happen. Oh well.
Today, Hubby & I finally made it out for a ride with his new bike. Yay! We did a fairly short ride – 8.8 miles. But, the loop we do includes a 5% and a 4% grade hill. They’re not terribly long climbs, but enough to get the blood pumping. I think the most exciting thing is, though, that I didn’t have to do the swivel back and forth thing to get up the climbs! Woot!!
Tomorrow morning, we’re going to make our first attempt at the Verdi Loop ride for the season. I don’t know if I’ll feel up to doing the whole thing, but the good thing is that we can pretty much turn around and head back to the car at any point of the ride.
That being said, I’m going to bed now, ’cause we’ll be heading out fairly early for our ride.
Breakfast was bacon, eggs, Dubliner cheese, & coffee/cream.
Snack was macadamia nuts & Just The Cheese.
Lunch was buffalo wings & celery/carrots.
Pre-ride snack was an Atkins coconut bar.
Dinner was carnitas & broccoli/cauliflower with blue cheese dressing.
Water count: 100 oz
